Fail-Fall 2009

Here's a (bad) picture of my survey wall. The empty spot was where my piece that got orangeslipped for the society of illustrators was. Hilarious, because it was the worst piece on the wall and (ima let you finish) some of the shittiest digital work of all time. OF ALL TIME.

I wish I could say that I feel better knowing that this semester is over and that all my hard work has paid off, but I can't. Honestly, looking at my work has never made me feel this discouraged or embarrassed of myself before. The harder and longer I work seems to put me further and further away from any kind of progress. I don't know what to do. All I want in the world right now is to get better, more than anything.

I have a lot to think about over break.

What was the piece that was chosen? Was it for The Maltese Falcon?

Your work has really improved this semester. I like this brown hue you've been working in. I reeeeaally like the top left piece!

No, the Maltese Falcon didn't get chosen-- it was some snowmen that I did for the MTV project.
Thanks-- I'm digging the brown hue too!
